Old Testament

[...]  love your neighbor as yourself. I am the LORD..

The alien living with you must be treated as one of your native-born. Love him as yourself, for you were aliens in Egypt.

5Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

16 Circumcise your hearts[...].  17 [...] the great God[...].  18 He loves the alien, giving him food and clothing–  19 And you are to love those who are aliens, for you yourselves were aliens in Egypt.

[...] Give alms of thy substance; and when thou givest alms, let not thine eye be envious, neither turn thy face from any poor, and the face of God shall not be turned away from thee.[...].

The LORD loves righteousness and justice[...].

Turn from evil and do good[...].

9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.

1 God presides in the great assembly; he gives judgment among the "gods": 2 "How long will you defend the unjust and show partiality to the wicked? Selah 3 Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. 4 Rescue the weak and needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.

Let love and faithfulness never leave you;  [...].

28Do not say to your neighbor, "Come back later; I'll give it tomorrow"—when you now have it with you. 29 Do not plot harm against your neighbor, who lives trustfully near you.

21 If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat; if he is thirsty, give him water to drink.  22 In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you.

8 "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. 9 Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

21 And all such things as are either secret or manifest, them I know. 22 For wisdom, which is the worker of all things, taught me: for in her is an understanding spirit holy, one only, manifold, subtil, lively, clear, undefiled, plain, not subject to hurt, loving the thing that is good quick, which cannot be letted, ready to do good,
23 Kind to man, steadfast, sure, free from care [...].

1 Wisdom reacheth from one end to another mightily: and sweetly doth she order all things. 7 [...] for she teacheth temperance and prudence, justice and fortitude: which are such things, as en can have nothing more profitable in their life.

The heart of the wise is understood in wisdom, and a good ear will hear wisdom with all desire

27 Reverence not thy neighbour in his fall! 28 Strive for the truth unto death, and the Lord shall fight for thee<//font>

Forgive thy neighbour the hurt that he hath done unto thee, so shall thy sins also be forgiven when thou prayest.

Bountifulness is as a most fruitful garden, and mercifulness endureth for ever.

16 [...] Stop doing wrong, learn to do right! 17 Seek justice, encourage the oppressed. Defend the cause of the fatherless, plead the case of the widow.

[...]  I will make peace your governor and righteousness your ruler

For I, the LORD, love justice; I hate robbery and iniquity.

5 If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly, 6 if you do not oppress the alien, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm, 7 then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your forefathers for ever and ever.

He defended the cause of the poor and needy, and so all went well. Is that not what it means to know me?" declares the LORD.

Seek good, not evil, that you may live.
[...].

He has showed you, O man, what is good.
And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Do not plot evil against your neighbor, and do not love to swear falsely [...].
